Harry Potter
House colours, floating candles and a feast fit for a great hall.
Best for ages 7 to 14
A wizard party starts with a letter. Hand-written invitations sealed with wax set the tone, and at the door a sorting hat drops every guest into a house team. Scarlet, gold, emerald and midnight blue cover the table, with candles and stars overhead.
Run the afternoon like a school day: a potion class with fizzy drinks and food colouring, a wand duel in the garden and a feast to finish. Older children love it most when the house points are kept and announced at the end.
